2009 Fall Concert  Silent Auction and

Program Book Opportunity

Dear Friend:

Last year your company generously donated a product or service to our Annual Benefit Concert Gala & Silent Auction.  Because of your generosity the Silent Auction was a success raising over $4,000.00.  We cannot begin to thank you enough for your contribution. This is Muntu’s 37th year in existence and more than ever, we need your help to maintain our commitment to youth throughout the communities we serve.   Our economy has changed and our youth more than ever are impacted due to the lack of housing and school closings.

Our Teaching Artists serve over 2,000 youth in the Chicago Public Schools through our Arts for Community Empowerment Program (ACE).  Through ACE we offer a variety of cultural components of the African Dance: research of the African Continent, ancestral links, drumming, cuisine, research of popular American dances of specific decades and how they relate to the African dance, and arts and crafts leading to entrepreneurship.

It would be so wonderful if you would agree to partner with us once again to bring quality cultural experiences to our youth.  We feel that whatever you agree to donate

will contribute to the positive future of our youth.  You may donate your goods and services and or you can take out an ad in the program book exposing your business to over 3,000 potential customers throughout our concert series from December 3rd to December 6th.

Our Annual Benefit Concert, Gala, and Silent Auction will be on Friday, December 4, 2009 at the Gary Comer Youth Center located at 7200 South Ingleside.  Once again help us make our Annual Benefit Concert Gala & Silent Auction a huge success.   If you wish to invest in the expansion and growth of our youth, please download  the gift agreement form and or the ad form and complete and return to our office:

Muntu Dance Theatre, 7127 S. Ellis Ave., Suite 2, Chicago, Illinois 60619 or you can fax the gift agreement form or the ad commitment form to Barbara Maxon: 773-241-6089.  For further information contact Barbara Maxon at 773-241-6084.
