Booking the Company
Muntu means "the essence of humanity". This is what we seek to express in our work and to touch in our audiences. At home, or on tour, Muntu Dance Theatre offers a wide range of artistic experiences including performances, residences & artistic training.

Our residence activities are a partnership between Muntu, the presenter and the community. We collaborate in designing and implementing activities that respond to the unique needs of each audience. To book the company or for more information contact Lynn Stevenson, Company Manager.

Full Concerts Features our 12-member company performing selected works from our extensive repertoire.	Lecture/Demonstrations Combines movement, music and audience participation with discussions of history and folklore.
In-school Residences Artists bring dance and music instruction into the classroom. Teacher in-service workshops are also available.	Ensemble Performances Thirty to sixty minute performances suitable for small audiences and diverse facilities.
Interactive Instructional Workshops Participants learn how to incorporate the dance, rhythm and song of African cultures in the classroom, family and other group activities.	Artistic training and master classes Classes in the technique of dance and percussion instruments of the African Diaspora.
